This is a nice little read.  I recently had the joy of taking my bride on a quick excursion “away” from the children.
Highly encouraged for all you married readers out there!

The Marriage 4 L.I.F.E Blog

Yes, as a married couple, you should have one night stands — with each other!

Although studies are showing that sitting in a rocking chair can reduce pain in your old aching joints and lessen depression in folks, I believe that having a “one night stand” can be good for your marriage all through your years together.

You should find time to get away from the house, kids, church, business, volunteer work, yard, cats, dog, chickens, parakeet, neighbors, chores, kitchen, telephone, relatives, computer, and television!

This holds true even if it is for just one night and just down the street at a local motel.

• Time alone together without distractions.
• No meals to cook or dishes to clean.
• Your conversations are not interrupted.
• Your intimate moments can be spontaneous.
• No hurrying home to get the babysitter home on time.
• Romance comes more naturally.

  1. This post is “re-blogged”…you can find the link to the entire post above. I encourage you to read!

By the way, this is the easiest way ever to add posts to my blog 🙂 I have no idea how to operate this site (thank you Baby for all your help!), but I can click “reblog!”

  2. LOL … I was shocked to see you had posted all by yourself! But now I see it’s really just that you were able to master the button click. Well, baby steps are important. I’m impressed with any forward progress you make. 😉

This reminds me of a Halloween costume a guy wore for one of my work parties several years ago (long before I met you). He WAS “one night stand.” He built a little table around himself and decorated the tabletop with items one might set on their night table next to the bed. I think he probably won the contest. 🙂

  3. Oh, here are the words I posted for the prompt this week, in case you find time to write a poem:

  4. Great advice. I also recommend the guys give flowers randomly and not wait for Hallmark Holidays. 🙂
    Peace & grace,

    • Pretty much every time my husband leaves the house, he comes back with something special. I get flowers almost every week. Just got some tonight!

  5. And more great advice from you Miro…I’ve seen the difference it makes to give flowers or other gifts “just because” and for no other reason. 🙂

  6. Keep up the great piece of work, I read few blog posts on this web site and I believe that your blog is real interesting and has sets of good information.
